DFIncBackup Professional provides all the functionality you would expect to get from a properly good data backup solution: different types of backups, templates, encryption, archiving, disc burning engine, scheduler, archive viewer, command line support, and more. Go get this application if you need a powerful data backup solution. And if you need something less powerful, check out the other products from the DFIncBackup line: DFIncBackup Standard and DFIncBackup Home.

You can install DFIncBackup Professional on a PC powered by anything from Windows 9X up to Windows 7. To install the application, you will have to go through a standard setup procedure. This means you’ll have to download a small executable, run it, and then click through the instructions presented by a setup wizard. When you’re done and you launch DFIncBackup Professional for the first time, you will be presented with a Quick Start prompt that allows you to access some useful information on how to use this application.

All the backup projects you create are presented as a list on the application’s interface. Above this main panel there’s a toolbar with nice big buttons for creating new projects, starting and stopping projects, editing a project, and more. Way at the top, right where you would expect it to be, there’s a File Menu. It is an easy to use, easy to figure out interface that will pose no problems to any user, not even a novice.

Creating a backup project is a very simple matter thanks to the wizard that guides you through the setup process. You will get to choose which files you want to download, where you want the files to be backed up, if you want the files to be archived and password protected, if you want to be notified about backup tasks, and more. In very little time you will set things up just the way you want them – and DFIncBackup Professional will back up your files based on the settings you put in place.

There are three DFIncBackup editions to choose from: Home, Standard, and Professional. A detailed feature comparison for the three editions is available on the DFIncBackup website.

You can easily set up backup projects and DFIncBackup Professional will run them, efficiently ensuring your data is backed up and safe from data loss accidents.

Pros

Installing DFIncBackup Professional takes little time and effort. You will very quickly get accustomed to the interface. A wizard helps you set backup projects; pick between incremental and differential backup, encrypt backups, archive them, schedule them to take place automatically, and more. There are three DFIncBackup editions to choose from; the Professional one is the top of the line.

Cons

Free to use for a 30-day trial period.
